The name "meus" echoes the melody of my nickname, Mias, yet beneath its surface, it resonates with a profound truth – that life is an intricate dance of "us." In this symphony, there is no singular "me"; rather, there is always us, a chorus of individuals, diverse trades, and you, the client, at the center of our collaborative canvas.
About me
At the heart of meus installations stands a unique fusion of craftsmanship and collaboration, where I, Jeremias Corona, a licensed general contractor, weave dreams into reality. I consider myself more than just a general contractor, I feel that I - like many people out there - am an artist, and creative soul, bringing beauty to the world.
I have been doing photography since 2012, although there is a photo of me with a camera at the age of 5. So technically I have been doing photography for almost all of my life.
I started editing videos in middle school where I took a broadcasting class. We learned how to use a camera, how to edit, and also how to run the morning news show that would come on every morning in homeroom. I happened to be the weather man my second year of taking broadcasting.
I started doing tile to support myself in 2014 and have learned a whole lot about construction in the process. I love how building a shower or installing a backsplash can be equally as much an art form as photography or any other genre of art.
I have experience in running and producing a podcast, Vegan Cookie Reviews, which has been a great experience, as I have used my skills interacting with people on a direct one on one, the most simple form of human communication, sometimes a lost art.
And I can’t leave out my love for gardening that has really developed over the last couple of years. Something about working with the entire process of soil, to food, has reinforced the idea that everything is a connected process. When I began to see how connected everything is, I attracted a whole lot more beauty into my life.
When I started my business, I really didn’t know if I was going to actually have any clients or projects. I sort of just figured I would take a leap into the unknown. It was May of 2020, so maybe you could picture what life was like at that time. I got one client from my mentor, and was busy from that point on with very little down time.
I ran no ads, I didn’t have a website, and sometimes I did not even have good photos to show clients, but the clients that I attracted were all so amazing, and it felt as if somehow I was attracting the right type of people. The projects kept coming in, and the clients who I have met have continued to be people that I genuinely enjoy building with.
Over the years the projects varied in type and I knew that I couldn’t continue to the next level without getting my general contractors license. So I acquired my license in 2023, and became a licensed, bonded, and insured, general contractor. License #1111905 in case you were wondering.
I know that not everyone has the actual funds to commit to acquiring a unique me/us artwork (if I was cooler I’d learn how to insert the actual logo right there). What I do know however, is that to me this has always been a brand, more than a construction company. So any form of support is appreciated by me.
If you hire me to create a little tile backsplash in your kitchen, or to create an ADU on your property, it is an original piece of art created in collaboration with you. I let myself ramble a bit here because I think its important to get some insight into my thought process. I hope you enjoy learning about me, about my brand, and maybe you’ve left with some inspiration; whether or not you decide to utilize my services.
About us
Obviously I can’t do it all alone, which is kind of the point of the name. It is a testament to collaboration. I am surrounded by a remarkable team of tradesmen, absolute masters in their respective crafts, and individuals who bring an infectious passion for their work. Our teamwork has been years in the making, and it’s why I am so confident you will get a quality artwork.
We love creating connections. With us working together, you will not just get a construction service, you will enter a partnership dedicated to making your vision a reality. I can’t wait for you to experience the joy and ease at which a project can come to fruition.
